Some of the last words of Steve Jobs -Something to ponder:
I have come to the pinnacle of success in business. In the eyes of others, my life has been the symbol of success.
However, apart from work, I have little joy. Finally, my wealth is simply a fact to which I am accustomed. At this time, lying on the hospital bed and remembering all my life, I realize that all the accolades and riches of which I was once so proud, have become insignificant with my imminent death.
In the dark, when I look at green lights, of the equipment for artificial respiration and feel the buzz of their mechanical sounds, I can feel the breath of my approaching death looming over me.
Only now do I understand that once you accumulate enough money for the rest of your life, you have to pursue objectives that are not related to wealth. It should be something more important: For example, stories of love, art, dreams of my childhood. No, stop pursuing wealth, it can only make a person into a twisted being, just like me.
God has made us one way, we can feel the love in the heart of each of us, and not illusions built by fame or money, like I made in my life, I cannot take them with me.
I can only take with me the memories that were strengthened by love. This is the true wealth that will follow you; will accompany you, he will give strength and light to go ahead. Love can travel thousands of miles and so life has no limits. Move to where you want to go.
Strive to reach the goals you want to achieve. Everything is in your heart and in your hands. What is the world’s most expensive bed? The hospital bed. You, if you have money, you can hire someone to drive your car, but you cannot hire someone to take your illness that is killing you.
Material things lost can be found. But one thing you can never find when you lose: life.
Whatever stage of life where we are right now, at the end we will have to face the day when the curtain falls.
Please treasure your family love, love for your spouse, love for your friends…
Treat everyone well and stay friendly with your neighbors.

What Steve Jobs has written above echo my thoughts and feelings.

Pages of your Life…

It could be anyone of us.
You are a book. Each day a page.
We start each day with a blank page.
The book is nothing without the pages.
We are writing our own autobiography.
Each book, 365 pages and each book a year.
If you had kept a daily diary you would be able to visit each year of your life.
The pages turn and life moves on.
What is most important to understand is that you are more important than one page.
You are not just beauty, but a composite of your character, personality, humor and wit.
We are often blinded by external glitter and fail to see the real person within reach.
Your beauty will eventually fade, but the rest of you will remain.
I will love you for what you are, not just for how you look.
I have this deep hunger for love….for you, but I haven’t found you yet.
Perhaps, one day I will.
Love is eternal and timeless and continues its search for a place to rest and call it’s own.

Love is not divisible

I was walking on my deck, as I usually do when meditating, and some new thoughts came to me.I could feel the welcome warmth of the sun’s rays on this bright and clear October day. My body was absorbing the nutrients the sun was providing me.
For an extended period of time now, I seem to be focused on the subject of ‘love’. We all have experienced love, or what we think is love, but few really understand it. To understand love is to understand God. God loves us unconditionally. When the sun shines upon us it does so unconditionally. God loves all and the sun shines on all. Just as the sun provides nutrients to our body, love provides nutrients to our spiritual body. It strengthens us when we give out love and also when we receive love.

I have had two wives and both are now deceased because of catastrophic illness.
I wondered how it would be if both were brought back and were alive again. How could I explain my love for both? We were created in the image and likeness of God who is love. It is in our spiritual DNA nature to love. Should I love again? I have to. Why would I choose to live without the sun? Why would I choose to live in darkness? I don’t. Just as the light of the sun is not diminished by being focused on two people at the same time, so love is not diminished by being focused on two people at the same time. It is similar to how you love your two children equally at the same time.
Love rejuvenates the body, mind and spirit of the individual. The more one examines this eternal and powerful force of love, the more hidden blessings one discovers.

Love Is The Greatest Force In Creation

Will we ever understand love? Humans have a very limited understanding of this powerful force.
Love cannot be contained but must be released. Our God is a God of love and when He spoke He released His love in the form of creation. “and God said’….and it was so.
When a person loves another person it is almost impossible to refrain from speaking those words. You speak to your children of your love, you speak to your spouse of your love because you must. When you can not be with those you love you write letters or call them and speak words of love to them. This you must do because as an explosive force within you, it must come out or surely you believe it will implode and destroy you. Love does not require a physical presence but does require expression. All of creation exists because He wills it and has said so.

1 Col.1:3 and Prov. 1:20.

Creation is His love child.

The Leaf that wanted to be a bird

Each time a bird perched on a tree limb, a nearby leaf thought
how wonderful it would be to be able to fly. The leaf was held fast to the tree limb and though the breeze would flow over the leaf yet it was held fast. Many birds came to rest and after awhile they would fly off in search of food. The leaf did not have to go in search of food as the tree provided all the nutrients the leaf needed to survive.
The weather began to change and slowly grow colder. Soon the tree would go dormant and not awaken until the gentle spring weather arrived and bring gentle rains and abundant sunshine.
Until then with its food supply and nutrients vanishing the
leaf began to grow cold, change color and wither. Finally,
the leaf lost its grip on the tree branch as a cold fall wind
separated the leaf from the tree. As the leaf spiralled down
it thought, “free at last, I’m flying, I’m flying.”
The leaf settled gently upon the ground and became part of the soils nutrients for the tree …..and for more leaves.
And so rebirth begins again, and again and Life moves on.

The Tree and the Book

The first book of the Holy Bible is Genesis, and the last book of the bible is Revelation. We are told of the Tree of Life in the book of Genesis as being the means of eternal life. Adam and Eve were told they could eat of every tree in the garden except the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil because if they ate of that tree they would surely die. Satan lied to them and Adam and Eve disobeyed God and did eat of the Tree of Knowledge and Good and Evil. They were now forbidden to eat of the Tree of Life and banished from the Garden of Eden.
Now, your name must be written in the Lambs Book of Life to be able to eat of the Tree of Life. The only way to the Tree of Life is through Jesus, the son of our great Father God. It is quite a journey from Genesis to Revelation but without taking that journey and meeting Jesus and accepting him and his sacrifice your name will not be written in the Book of Life.
Your reservation must have been written in His blood and signed by Jesus himself. With eternity waiting, what will you do?

Life…Reality or Fable?

Reality or Fable?

Our world has been changing, and we along with it, not always for the better.
Our concept of life, especially married life, is often based on the fairy tale versions as often portrayed in the movies and on television. The impression given is that school is for dummies and that casual sex is perfectly alright and that in married life you seldom have to cook, manage a home, raise children or be a loving and faithful wife or husband. It is no wonder that today’s children will be in for the shock of their life when they encounter the real world.
When there is no role model at home setting the proper example, the children are made vulnerable to whatever the media presents to them. It is imperative that young people contemplating marriage seek out someone with real life skills. The best place to find this kind of knowledge and wisdom is in a church well grounded in biblical scripture.
The evidence is clear that children raised in a Christian home with a nurturing mother and father, who take the time to teach their children how to build a happy home of their own, are the ones who are blessed with a long and joyous life. It takes commitment, but it is worth its weight in gold.
