There has been a continual campaign to stigmatize all Christians as mean-spirited, unloving and hypocritical. Who is doing this? Scripture calls them “the children of darkness”. This is spiritual warfare.
“The rich man had to admire the dishonest rascal for being so shrewd. And it is true that the children of the world are more shrewd in dealing with the world around them than are the children of light. Luke 16:8 (New Living Translation – 2007)
Do the ‘children of light’ know they are in a deadly war? Most do not. It appears the ‘children of darkness’ are greater in number than are the ‘children of light’. How easy it is for the ‘children of darkness’ who are spiritually invisible to us to continue to battle so successfully against us. They have the help of all media communication because they work for and are part of this huge conglomerate. They have the use of all media from print, broadcast and internet to continue to influence the thinking of all people. As they control most if not all the media it is so very easy to control our thinking. They continually project the image of the Christian as someone evil. The ‘children of darkness’ present themselves as ministers of light. 2 Corinthians 11:15 “Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works”. American King James Version
Just think of all the vitriol that is cast upon Christians everywhere. We share this world with ‘children of darkness’ and as in the parable of ‘The Wheat and the Tares’ – Matthew 13: 36-43 we we are destined to continue sharing this world with them until at the end we will finally be separated from them, but, that time is not yet. It is increasingly more difficult to live a moral Christian life when we are surrounded by all of this evil. It is everywhere and it touches us through this all pervasive media. It does not quietly creep into our home and life but boldly proclaims itself as it explosively blasts into our life. Who can stop it? It is indeed warfare and we walk in a minefield of explosive danger every second of every day. It only gets worse as we move forward into the ‘time of sorrows’. How do we defend ourself? We have the best defense in the world, the ‘Word’ as our sword. Sadly, even with the best defense possible so few know how to use it. The first thing is you have to be familiar with it and have knowledge of it’s power . You now have the power you need as the Holy Spirit of God is wielding that sword for you. You are now a ‘master-at-arms’. You are invincible. Be careful what you let into your eyes, your ears and into your heart as the enemy, as a virus, will infiltrate your defenses and control your mind, your thoughts and your actions. You would then become a puppet with the enemy pulling all the strings in your life. Ever wonder why things just don’t seem to be going right for you no matter how hard you try? It may be because you have become a puppet. Be vigilent and faithful to the “Word’ and you will recapture your life from the control of the enemy. This is not a game, it is a real war and you are on the battlefield. Who wins is the one who is most dedicated and skilled in the use of the armor provided. God wins in the end. Pick your side accordingly. This is your decision and your decision alone. As for me, this is, As I See It, Roy Lamont
